Dear SESAM members
My name is Ron Brendel and I'm supporting SESAM's EC as a website manager.
My career in emergency medicine started at the ambulance services in Utrecht, in the middle of the Netherlands. After receiving a teaching degree my careerpath changed and I became Head of the Educational Department of the Regional Ambulance Service Utrecht (RAVU). Being a strong educational organisation, we discovered the progress of medical simulation training in Europe. After receiving my Master degree in Educational Science we developed the MEdical Training and Simulation Centre (METS Center). The METS Center aims to create a boost in medical simulation training in the Netherlands. As medical simulation is farely new in the Netherlands, we appreciate every international contact and are therefore glad to be involved in SESAM.
My job as SESAM website manager is to provide the EC with creative ideas about the website. Next to that I will anticipate as much as possible on the wishes of the SESAM EC regarding the website. For the items I cannot solve myself I will be the contact between SESAM EC and the company which maintains the website technically.
